Your upcoming scheduled tutoring lessons are listed in the dashboard of your Daresne Student Account once you log in.

To ensure a seamless start to the learning process, we match your child with an experienced tutor who shares at least one of your child's interests or hobbies.

Our tutors share relevant lesson material over the WhatsApp Group after each lesson, usually within 6 hours of the lesson ending.

Daresne Memberships are educational programmes where you subscribe to our quality online tutoring for 4, 6, 12, 18 or 24 months.

The longer the membership, the higher the discount we are able to offer you!

This allows us to reward loyal customers like you with industry-competitive lesson rates, so your child can learn more and you can save more.

We offer a variety of customizable tutoring packages.

The most popular plans include 4, 8 or 16 lessons per month.

You are free to cancel your Daresne Membership at anytime (or at the latest 7 days before the renewal of the new term).

If you wish to cancel the membership after having completed the minimum initial term, you can do so here.

Daresne Membership payments are processed securely through the use of powerful 256-bit SSL encryption that protects sensitive customer information, the same encryption used by world-renown banks and reputable financial institutions.

Bookings

You can contact your tutor on the WhatsApp group to arrange and schedule your next tutoring lesson!

Only our tutors are authorized to book in a lesson for you through our platform.

You can simply log into your Daresne Student Account.

From your Student Dashboard, you can see your tutor's profile picture as well as all the important details (date/time/subject) of the booking.

At the end of each billing cycle, the credits that you have not used to book upcoming lessons will automatically expire.

Make sure to plan accordingly with your tutor so that you can make the most of them and book future lessons!

Daresne tutors are required to wait 20 minutes. Afterwards, it's completely up to them whether or not to wait longer.

If you do not join a scheduled lesson and you haven't asked for it to be rescheduled at least 60 minutes prior to the start of the lesson, you will lose the Daresne credit for that lesson.

On some occasions, we might recredit your account depending on the situation; however, it is not a guarantee. We expect both tutors and students to respect each other's time and be responsible.

Daresne tutors undergo special training to follow our guidelines.

If, for any reason, your tutor does not join the lesson on time without letting you know beforehand or rescheduling the lesson, you should follow the next two steps:

Stay in the lesson for 10 minutes (if the tutor still hasn't shown up, leave the lesson and follow the next steps).
Contact us with the tutor's name and time of the lesson.

*Daresne will recredit your account with the lost credit, and we will add "one extra credit" completely free of charge to your account as a way to make up the time lost and show you our indisputable compromise with your child's education.

You can request your lesson to be rescheduled or cancelled by communicating over the WhatsApp group with your tutor.

*There is a 60-minute grace period before the start of the lesson; after that, your lesson cannot be rescheduled.

Emergencies do happen, and they are part of life!

Unless this is your case, we strongly discourage last-minute rescheduling requests, as your tutors would have spent a considerable amount of time preparing all you need to succeed in the lesson. Also, the tutor would have lost the time and opportunity to prepare and tutor another student during that time.

*This policy is in place to protect both students and tutors.

After logging in, you can head to "Credits" on the left-hand side, where you will be able to look at how many Daresne credits you have left.

If you wish to add more credits, feel free to reach out to us, and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Technical Questions

If you cannot log into your Daresne Tutor or Student account, check the following:

Check your internet connection or router
Make sure you are not using a VPN or similar services that alter your true location
Clear your browser history, including cache and cookies

If you still cannot access your Daresne Account or if you forgot your password, contact us immediately so we can help you!

*Make sure to include your full name, phone number, and original email used to create the account; without these, we won't be able to assist you.

While tutors find it helpful when they are able to see you through your webcam, the use of a webcam is completely optional, and it is up to the Parents and/or Student to decide on it.

However, in most cases, the use of a microphone is normally needed to be able to clearly communicate with your tutor.

*No worries; most modern electronic devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops, come with a built-in microphone. If you are using a regular desktop, a pair of headsets or earphones will do the job!

We use two secure and easy-to-access video conferencing platforms for our lessons.

We use Zoom for trial lessons
We use Google Meet for regular tutoring lessons

We have revolutionised and simplified online education for you!

You just need a (phone, tablet, or laptop) and a stable internet connection—that's it!

As obvious as it sounds, some students forget to check if their volume is all the way up.

If this is not the issue, try moving closer to your router, as video conferencing platforms rely on a good and stable internet connection.

If the problem persists, let your tutor know immediately in the chat box or in your WhatsApp group.

If your tutor cannot hear you, make sure you have unmuted yourself and that you have given permission to your browser and video conferencing platforms (Zoom or Google Meet) to access your microphone and camera.

*If you are unsure about how to do this, contact your tutor for assistance!

Online Safety

Our students’ safety and welfare are of the highest priority at Daresne.

As part of our safety policies, measures have been implemented to create a secure environment for everyone:

We require an enhanced DBS check or the international equivalent legal clearance from all our tutors, no exceptions.
Our lessons are conducted through encrypted and secure video conferencing platforms.
A zero-tolerance policy is applied to all Users of the Daresne platform against any form of abuse or neglect.

A specially trained team will conduct periodic revisions to ensure all these and other policies are not being violated.

If we suspect any of the previously stated policies are being violated by any Daresne User, we reserve the right to terminate the account and take legal action if needed.

We protect all sensitive personal information that you share with us.

We use industry-robust encryption when you submit any form through our website to ensure its safe delivery to our servers.

We will never share any sensitive information provided by you with any third parties without your prior consent.

All communication between tutors and students should be exclusively carried out in the selected WhatsApp groups; this is the only way we are able to monitor irregularities and maintain Daresne quality standards.

We carefully and thoroughly examine any official document submitted by our tutors. It is the tutor's sole responsibility to provide enough proof for all credentials.

*If any fraud is detected through our systems or by our staff, the tutor is automatically denied the opportunity to work for Daresne.

We have made our best efforts to create a comprehensive Code of Conduct to establish and maintain professional and safe communication between the student and tutor.

Daresne does not share sensitive student information with its tutors unless the Student and/or Parent explicitly mention it to the tutor. Your data is fully confidential.

All Daresne Users are obliged to follow, to a reasonable extent, all these guidelines.

Most of our students are in this age range. To ensure the safety of everyone at Daresne, if the student is 16 years old or younger, we require the presence of the parent or guardian in the group chat.

In this case, the student's presence in the group chat is optional, as communication and the exchange of study material can be carried out between the parent/guardian and tutor.

For Tutors

If you are an amazing tutor with a true passion for teaching, look no further; at Daresne, we offer you all you need to grow as a professional and make a positive impact on students' lives.

*We may ask you at any time for more documents to back up any file you submit to us.

To become an official verified Daresne tutor, you have to send an application form and at least meet the following criteria:

You should be over 18 years old.
You should have amazing teaching skills.
You should have an enhanced DBS check or the international legal equivalent.

*Kindly note that meeting the previous criteria does not guarantee your verification as a Daresne tutor. We have put in place a fair system to assess tutors' credentials by following confidential company procedures.

Daresne tutors are required to have a modern desktop or laptop, a mouse, and access to a fast and reliable internet connection. You can have a look here at all the tutor requirements.

*For a better online learning experience, we recommend having at least 20 Mbps. If you are unsure about this, you can check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

You can earn money by tutoring 1:1 lessons. We also offer brilliant tutors the opportunity to tutor 4:1 lessons in highly demanded subjects such as (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English).

*The amount of money that you can make is directly proportional to the number of tutoring hours that you complete per month. You can have a look at the earnings calculator on our "Become a Tutor" page.

There is no tutor contract between you as a tutor and Daresne. You are considered a self-employed tutor.

However, with that being said, you still have to strictly adhere to our Tutor Code of Conduct and maintain Daresne quality standards in all your lessons through our platform.

Daresne founder chooses each month the best-performing tutor according to 5-star ratings, student feedback, and the number of tutoring lessons completed.

There can only be one Daresne Golden Tutor per month.

If you are selected, you will receive a special tutor bonus of £125 added on top of your monthly earnings as well as a downloadable certificate signed by our founder as a way to show appreciation.

Just keep in mind that the teaching resources you choose should meet quality standards and deliver the required curriculum content for UK students.
